Yokota West ES Supply List

Pre-Kindergarten

(LABEL WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME)

• 1 Backpack (large enough for a file folder to fit in. No wheels please)
• 1-2 Pocket Folders
• 1 Composition notebook (primary, with a place for drawing and words)
• 1 Change of clothes labeled in a bag (undergarments, socks, pants, shirt)
• 1 Pair of indoor closed toed tennis shoes (these do not have to be Japanese style, but a pair of shoes in case of an accident at school, or in case they wear boots and forget regular shoes)
• 1 water bottle labeled
• 1 pair of headphones. Plug in, over the ear.

Shared Supplies

• 1 pack Pre-sharpened No 2. Pencils
• 1 pack Pre-sharpened Fat pencil
• 1 box of Ziplock bags (any size)
• 1 pack dry eraser markers (not the big fat ones, smaller ones are preferred)

The teacher may request things throughout the year.

All students are required to wear pants/shorts and sneakers. If a student chooses to wear a dress, please make sure there is something underneath!

Kindergarten

Student Supplies (Please label with your child’s Name) 

• 1 backpack/book bag big enough to fit a file folder and large books. No wheels please.
• 2 boxes crayons (24 count) 
• 2 packages of colored pencils 
• 1 watercolor paint set
• 1 pair child’s round end scissors
• 2 pocket folders (plastic/vinyl preferred)
• 1 composition notebooks (primary preferred, no college rule)
• 1 change of clothes labeled in Ziploc bag
• 1 reusable water bottle
• 1 pair personal headphones (no Bluetooth headphones/USB only & over the ear headphones preferred)
• 2 pocket plastic folders (yellow and red)
• Change of shoes
• 1 pencil pouch
• 1 pack of Lysol wipes

Classroom (Shared Supplies)

• 1 rubber erasers (please no pencil cap erasers)
• 2 package Dry Erase markers (prefer multi-color package)
• 1 package washable markers
• 3-4 glue sticks
• 2 boxes of facial tissues

Notes:

1. Teachers may request additional supplies to improve the classroom environment (e.g., supply pouch/box, Ziploc bags, Lysol wipes).
2. Supplies may need to be replenishment as the school year progresses – teachers will notify parents of requested supplies.
3. Please save your receipts, as all teachers may not require every item.
4. All students are required to wear pants/shorts and gym shoes (sneakers) during PE class.
5. Students are not permitted to share food (snacks or lunch)

1st Grade

Student Supplies (Please label with your child’s Name)

• 1 box of crayons, 1 pack of colored pencils, 1 pack of markers
• 4 rubber erasers
• 2 highlighters
• 1 pair of children’s scissors
• 3 plastic or vinyl pocket folders
• 2 composition notebooks
  • Please ensure at least one is a primary notebook, which provides space for illustrations and handwriting practice with widened lines suitable for 1st graders.
• 1 reusable water bottle
• 1 pair personal headphones *plug-in and over the ear
• 4 glue sticks
• 2 boxes facial tissues
• 2-pack paper towels

Optional: (But appreciated!):

• Clorox wipes
• Hand soap
• Ziploc bags (gallon and sandwich)

2nd Grade

***Please note that I am very strict with organization and supplies that students have. This really helps with classroom management, executive functioning and organization.***
If it is not on the list here, I will probably send it back home for the students to use at home and I will do my best to supply them with what is needed. Thank you for your support in this.
